This large axe has so much crystallization on it that it is rough to the touch. The spots that were scraped by farm equipment are smooth granite.
A nicely polished unusual hardstone Adena celt. Pictures show the nice use wear at the bit. It is a very heavy and dense material.

A full grooved axe head made of a greenish conglomerate hard stone. Nice patina throughout and in great shape. Small blade may be due to ancient re-sharpening.
