This is a nice Early Archaic period point. A classic style with fine edgework and a highly ground base. The ‘alteration’ to the ear and base were done by a percussion blow at the same time and from the same side. Judging from the patina, it was around the original time of manufacture.

A nice little dart point with sharp barbs. It also has an unusual flat spot on the side that is not flaked. The maker maybe ran into a tough spot or had another reason to leave it that way.
This is a nice point made of colorful high grade material.
