This spade was purchased in 1968 as part of a collection from Old Shawneetown in Southern Illinois. It has a nice polish on the blade end from use.
This is a thin well made Early Archaic blade.
This is thin well made Decatur preform blade made of high quality Burlington chert.
This is a very unusual shape and beautiful material. It was either a hafted piece or it has a great hand grip with a natural thumb hold.
This is a nice pair of blunt points or arrowheads that were re-purposed as halfted scrapers.
This is a beautiful Archaic Period lanceolate blade. It weighs in at just under 4″ It has a very highly ground base. What appears in the photos to be a nick on the side is what I believe to have been done at the time of manufacture.
A very thin well made blade with very fine edge work. The base end has what looks like ancient touch up or even an attempt at notching.
