This is a cool tool. It has the most excellent patina. The material has fossil shells embedded throughout it. It is hard to show them in the photos. The large divots are not chips in the material, they are the shells.

This is thin well made Decatur preform blade made of high quality Burlington chert.
A very thin great shaped blade that sparkles in the sun light. It has a possible ancient side nick that looks more like an intentional notch as it is flaked from both sides.
This is a very nice group of arrowheads that were re-purposed to use as scrapers that were hafted to a handle. This colorful group highlights various styles of points and materials used.
This spade was purchased in 1968 as part of a collection from Old Shawneetown in Southern Illinois. It has a nice polish on the blade end from use.
This is a beautiful Archaic Period lanceolate blade. It weighs in at just under 4″ It has a very highly ground base. What appears in the photos to be a nick on the side is what I believe to have been done at the time of manufacture.
This is a thin and very well made blade.
This is a great example of the maker intentionally leaving part of the rind of the material on the backside of the blade. This is a very well made blade with Archaic flaking of quality material.
