This is an unusual point in that it is made from the outer rind of a flint nodule. It still has the curviture of the outer nodule. On the other side you can see the actual flint and the middle of the pouint is the flat area of the original chip with the percussion waves. The maker didn’t waste anything on this. This point was part of a collection purchased at a farm auction in southern Indiana in the late 1960’s.

These are two very nice points. The larger one is 1.5″ tall and was recovered in the Indianapolis city limits during the construction of Interstate 70 in the late 60’s. The other was found in Gallitin County, Illinois in 1974.
This is a nice point made of high grade colorful material with quartz inclusions.
A nice little dart point with sharp barbs. It also has an unusual flat spot on the side that is not flaked. The maker maybe ran into a tough spot or had another reason to leave it that way.
This is a beautiful point in great shape. It is highly beveled, has a ground base and is nicely serrated.
