Here is a real beauty. I believe this was a personal find of my father however it had no information stating where. It has a fine bit with only minor plow scrapes and nicks.

Unusual Flint or Jade Polished Celt
This is a very unusual celt. It is possible that it was a personal find but unfortunately I do not recall where it came from. It is made of a flint like or even jade like material. It has a very nice overall polish but more so on the bit. It also has an unexplainable cut or groove on one side. It does appear to be very old and authentic.

Highly Polished War Club / Maul
This is a piece from Ohio. It was left by the consignor’s grandfather but she doesn’t know where it was found. It does appear to be old and authentic. It is 3/4 grooved, highly polished and shows a lot of patina.

Deeply Grooved Axe
This is a very deeply grooved axe. At first I thought the maker had spent so much effort in making the groove that he just gave up and didn’t put a lot of effort in the polishing phase. After studying it more, I think it was just never finished. I don’t think there is any use wear on the bit, I think that he just didn’t hone the bit at all. There is much polishing on the flat side and some on the faces but none on the bit.

Ohio Hopewell Pestle – Reserved

Roller Pestle
This is a great example of a roller style pestle. It was pecked and polished out of hardstone. It shows much polish from use and has nutting divots pecked into three sides. It also has much patina and displays very well.

3/4 Grooved Axe
This axe was purchased at a farm auction in 1967. It was said to have been found on the property by the mans grandfather. He had kept it on his work bench thus the spot of red paint. I have not tried to remove it. It is a very nice well made axe.
